Works, a little big. Not really any noise. My electronics stay much cooler. It was installed wrong at first, but when that was fixed all worked like a charm!

I was installing an audio receiver and dvd/cd player in an outdoor cabinet for sound around the pool and patio area. Since receivers tend to produce a good deal of heat, and since it's already 105 plus degrees here in Austin, Texas, every day, I figured I'd better put some ventilation in the cabinet.
Did the usual internet searching and came across this fan from CoolerGuys. Ordered it and received it promptly as promised.
Took about five minutes to assemble the fans. Another fifteen to cut the rectangular hole in the side of my cabinet (IKEA Besta cabinet with glass door). The fan assembly then attached with four screws.
I plugged the fan into the switched outlet on the receiver so that it comes on when the receiver is turned on. Everything worked perfectly.
It's hard to say exactly how much air the fan(s) move, but the receiver doesn't seem to be overheating. We sometimes run it for several hours and have had no problem. I haven't had an opportunity to observe how well the thermal control works; ambient temperature around the pool hasn't dropped below 86 degrees yet; however, a quick test indoors during assembly/installation indicated that it worked fine.
I would definitely recommend this product and the CoolerGuys. You need to have a few tools and a little know-how to assemble and install it; but, it's not a difficult job.
I would definitely look at another one of these if the need arises.

My wife got me a new receiver for my birthday, an Onkyo that could double as a space heater or toaster oven. (It can power nine sets of speakers and weighs 60 pounds!) When opening the door to the subsection of the entertainment center cabinet that holds the receiver, heat would pour out onto my face even though the rear panel of the cabinet had large ventilation slots. Something had to be done, or else I could easily see the Onkyo turning itself into a smoldering pile of electronic parts - right after the warranty expired, for sure!
So I bought the two fan unit. I debated getting the three fan unit, but I'm glad I didn't. We use the mute button a lot (darn loud commercials!!!) and these fans aren't totally silent. It's sort of like a rough white noise, not objectionable, but not totally quiet, either. (Possibly it's because some of the fan's vibration resonates through the cheap wood rear panel of my entertainment center.) If I had gotten the three fan unit, that would have been all the more noise, plus it would have been totally unnecessary since the two fans exhaust every bit of heat the Onkyo can throw at them. The best part is the thermostat which turns off the fans when they're not needed.
Some tips you might find useful: The temperature probe comes with a clear vinyl tube to protect it during shipping. At first I left it on, not knowing if I should take it off, but the system seems to work much better if you take the tube off. (Wait until everything's installed - the probe itself looks delicate.) Also, I placed the naked probe a few inches ahead of the 'suck side' of one of the fans so hot air from the Onkyo would constantly go past the probe, which would update the fan control unit as to what temperature air was about to be sucked out of the cabinet. This placement has worked well for me. I used a sticky-back wire mount and zip tie to mount the probe to dangle down from a shelf above the receiver.
Overall, a very good kit. Just resist the temptation to get the three fan kit. Two fans keep the my oven, err, uh, receiver from melting down.
